Glen Allen cooking class to feature summer dishes
Next month, the Hands-On Cooking Classes Richmond will hold the Summer Picnic Dishes Class in Glen Allen for those interested in learning how to prepare dishes ideal for picnics this summer.
Hands-On Cooking Classes Richmond is overseen by the Publix Aprons Cooking School, which offers a variety of classes to help individuals explore new cuisines and learn new dishes and hone their overall cooking skills. The school also provides professional cooking demonstrations by experienced chefs and private one-on-one instruction.
The class will feature hands-on instruction on how to cook dishes that would complement a summer gathering. The class is only offered to those 18 years old and older. Participants 21 and older will also be able to sample the various wines provided. Organizers recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes when attending, as students will spend most of the class on their feet as they cook. The class menu will feature dishes such as grilled fingerling potato salad, heirloom tomato salad, Vietnamese-style rice noodle salad, and salted butterscotch banana pudding.
Cooking classes may utilize printed teaching materials, such as instructional brochures, which can be made at print shops specializing in brochure printing.
The summer cooking class is scheduled for July 20 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It will take place at the Publix Aprons Cooking School at Nuckols Place, located at 5400 Wyndham Forest Drive.
