Glen Allen class to bake up some family fun
This August, Publix Aprons Cooking School in Glen Allen will provide area families with the opportunity to bake together at the Big and Little Chef Baking Workshop.
The School provides fun, interactive cooking classes and cuisine workshops that allow participants to learn new skills, explore different cultures, and experiment with diverse recipes. The cooking school offers a variety of different activities suitable for every occasion, from date nights to family nights.
The Big and Little Chef Baking Workshop is designed so that a child and their parent or guardian can learn and bake together. The “big chef” and “little chef” will be paired up, and together they will collaborate to recreate tasty recipes that will appeal to both children and adults. Little chefs should be in the age range of 5 to 12 years old, and big chefs need to be 18 or older. The class menu will feature unicorn biscuits, mojo pork empanadas, pizza garlic knots with marinara and pesto, and marble cookie yoyos.
Colorful posters are often included as instructional materials for classes with young students, and area print shops specializing in poster printing can help event organizers produce them.
The baking workshop is scheduled for August 13, beginning at 10:00 am. The Publix Cooking School is located on 5400 Wyndham Forest Drive, Glen Allen. Registration is $80.
