As part of the Bridging the Gap Provider Series, Creative Approach Development Center in the Glen Allen area will present Session 5: Addressing Anxiety and Emotional Well-Being next month.
The Center was founded by Dr. Zipporah Levi-Shackleford in 2015 after she experienced systematic barriers in care as a mother to a child with special needs. The organization aims to provide families of children and adults with special needs with a robust program of support and resources. The Bridging the Gap Series is in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s effort to improve public education through support programs and intervention strategies.
Session 5 will offer information on how to understand and support individuals experiencing anxiety and other related negative emotions. It will go over practical strategies and integral insights on how to promote healthy emotional well-being. The event will feature experiential activities and interactive discussions on how to effectively build and maintain emotional resilience among those the provider cares for.
Workshop organizers may find that flyer printing and distribution can be a useful advertising method to promote events like this within the community.
Session 5 is scheduled for October 11 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. It will take place at Creative Approach Development Center, which is located at 2819 North Parham Road, Suite 150, Richmond, just five miles from Glen Allen. Tickets are $35.
