St. Patrick's Day festival to offer fun for all

The annual St. Paddy's Palooza is taking place this March in Glen Allen. This popular event usually attracts around 10,000 visitors each year, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

The event is set to feature Celtic bands and Irish dancers on several stages. There will also be pony rides, a hot air balloon, and a petting zoo. Other children's activities will include face painting, airbrushed tattoos, and inflatables, such as a moon bounce and an obstacle course.

Local artisans will be selling a variety of arts and crafts and visitors can pose in an Irish photo booth. Food and ice cream will be available for purchase too.

One important activity taking place is that a number of people will have their heads shaved, with money raised through those who sponsor the participants.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation provides research grants into childhood cancer and hosts a number of events throughout the year to raise funds. It is mainly run by volunteers.

Organizers may invest in flyer printing services to help spread the word to nearby communities like Ashland.

The St. Paddy's Palooza takes place at the Innsbrook Pavilion in Glen Allen on March 14 from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Admission is free. To find out more about this event, call 804-217-8804.
