Ashlands’ Hanover Academy is hosting a Pokémon trading card game event to ring in the New Year.
Presented by Pirate Dog Cards and Collectibles, the PokeBash TCG Card Show not only features the beloved Pokémon characters, but also other card game franchises, including Magic The Gathering, One Piece and others.
Featuring hourly door prizes and a live performance by DJ Eddo Face, the seven-hour event encourages participants to buy, sell and trade cards with others, as they please, and costumes are also allowed.
The event is welcoming to experienced collectors and beginners alike. A wide variety of trading card games will be available to browse, including Hobby Boxes, Packs and Retail packages. There will also be supplies available for purchase.
The all-ages event includes dedicated traders’ tables, with opportunities to connect with other hobbyists, and a meet and greet opportunity with Pikachu himself.
Tickets are priced at just $1, with 100% of entrance fee proceeds going to the Richmond SPCA, a non-profit animal shelter, with an information table available for those interested in donating or adopting.

PDCC’s PokeBash TCG Card Show is happening on January 3 from 10 am to 5 pm at Hanover Academy at 117 Frances Road in Ashland. Parking is free.
