With October being a transitional month from early autumn to the holiday season, there are multiple farmers’ markets held throughout the month to explore all that fall has to offer in Ashland.
On Saturday, October 10, from 7:00 am to 11:0 am, the Clayton Homes Center in Ashland will host its first annual Fall Farmers’ Market. Located at 12244 Washington Hwy, the free event will be bursting with local eateries, market vendors, and live bands.
People will also have the opportunity to donate to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation as they explore model homes, artisan booths, farm-fresh foods, boutique carts, and arts and crafts from local makers.
Farmers’ markets like this may choose to use Stationery printing to create food labels, vendor Signs, and advertising.
October also marks the final month for the city-sponsored Ashland Farmers’ Market, a separate weekly event organized by the Parks and Recreation Department. Each Saturday, from 9:00 am to noon, this event, which focuses on local seasonal eats, is held at Ashland Town Hall at 121 Thompson St.
The city’s weekly farmers’ market is restricted to food producers who are located within a 30-mile radius of Ashland. Vendors are not permitted to resell any product, but instead must sell what they have personally made, grown, or baked, such as farm-fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, in-season produce, potted plants and flower bouquets, baked goods made at home, and honey.
