Annual Strawberry Faire returns to Ashland

Ashland is hosting its yearly Strawberry Faire at the Randolph-Macon College campus next weekend.

Featuring trolley rides, 300 vendors, a children’s zone and local food carts, the annual festival is celebrating its 44th year to honor the sweet and tangy red fruit.

Featuring a family-friendly atmosphere and free admission, the event also serves as a showcase for arts and crafts artisans, non-profit organizations, and businesses in the greater Hanover County area.

Sections of the fair include a Sweet Lane, Berry Lane, Pet Pageant, and pavilion with the theme “Hanover in Action.”

There are three different trolleys associated with the Strawberry Faire. Trolley rides, which can accommodate strollers, are free for fair participants, though they are not ADA equipped. However, there is ADA parking available at the Brock Center on North Center Street.

Trolleys users are encouraged to take note of which trolley they are using (they are numbered 1, 2 and 3) and to return on the same route they came. The No. 1 trolley services Ashland Elementary School, north of the fair, while No. 2 and 3 service the south, at Ann’s Catholic Church and First Baptist Church of Ashland, respectively.

Festivals like this may choose to use Print shops to create food vendor Menus, exhibition Signs, and merchants labels.

The Ashland Strawberry Faire is happening on June 6 from 7 am to 2:00 pm at 500 Henry St in Ashland.
