Rush tribute band to perform in Ashland

The Rush Experience will give a performance in January at the Ashland Theatre.

Fans of the rock band Rush can attend a tribute performance where guests can hear songs from throughout the group’s career. The show will feature music from Rush’s debut album in 1974 to the band’s retirement in 2015. The Rush Experience is a band comprised of Vince Tricarico, Burke Hunn, and David Kidd. The trio has performed at many notable venues, including the Strand Theater, the Newtown Theater, and The Lamp Theater.

Rush is a Canadian band created in 1968, and the original three members of the group included Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart. The performers released several albums, such as A Farewell to Kings, Grace Under Pressure, and Roll the Bones. Rush supported many charitable organizations, like the Canadian Red Cross, Little Kids Rock, and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The band became part of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994.

The tribute performance to Rush will take place on January 24th. Doors to the show open at 6:30 pm, and The Rush Experience will perform at 7:30 pm. Orchestra seating for the show will cost $35 per person, and box seats can be bought for $65. Customers who purchase their tickets in advance will get a discount.
