The 4th annual RVA Brew-B-Q Festival is taking place this August, offering one of the biggest events of its kind in Central Virginia.
More than 15 area craft breweries will be on hand to provide samples, including Legend, Center of the Universe, and Hardywood. Samples will be available for purchase and will cost $2 for four ounces and $6 for sixteen ounces. Several area restaurants are set to sell a variety of their best barbecue dishes.
In addition, entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon by musical groups such as Dance Candy. There will also be an expanded marketplace at which shoppers can purchase produce, arts and crafts and other general merchandise. Vendor applications are still being accepted until July 17.
This is just one of the monthly events held at the Market. This coming September is set to feature Shockoe-on-the-Half Shell, October will bring us Kickin' Chicken Wingfest, and November will see the Brunswick Stew Festival.
This event will no doubt attract visitors from all over the area, including nearby Ashland. Organizers may decide to invest in services such as flyer printing to get the word out.
The RVA Brew-B-Q Festival will be held at the 17th St. Farmers' Market in Richmond on August 16 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Admission is free. For more information about attending or becoming a vendor, call 804-646-0954.
