The Pamunkey Regional Library in Ashland will be hosting a class in June on how to choose plants for landscaping.
The Selecting Plants for Landscape Design course is a virtual experience where listeners can get advice from a gardening expert. The lesson instructor will be Jean Cauble, who is part of the Goochland Powhatan Master Gardener Association. The program teaches novice gardeners about topics such as how to pick locations for plants that ensure their survival. Educators who teach lessons like this can use business card printing to share their contact info with potential students.
The Goochland Powhatan Master Gardener Association is a group that trains volunteers into local gardening professionals who help out their community. Those accepted into the organization's training program will receive 50 hours of instruction covering subjects such as weed management, plant nutrition, and water conservation. Members of the association are expected to volunteer at least 50 hours per year to earn the title of Master Gardener.
The virtual gardening lesson will take place on Saturday, June 12 from 11:00 am to noon. The presentation is intended for adults and will be held on the Zoom application.
