A range of family-friendly events taking place are taking place in Ashland over the holidays that should please everyone.
The celebrations will start off with the Ashland Olde Time Holiday Parade, which is presented by the Ashland Kiwanis Club. The parade will start off at Thompson and Snead Streets and will end off at John Gandy Elementary School.
The holidays will continue into next month with the Light Up the Track and Holiday Tree Lighting. It will take place at the Visitors Center on Railroad Avenue. After the lightings and a performance by a local choir, visitors can enjoy hot cider and cookies at Hanover Arts and Activities Center.
The day after the lighting, guests can take the Santa Train Ride to Williamsburg along with Santa and Mrs. Claus. They will enjoy holiday festivities while in Williamsburg. Tickets are $90 for adults and $45 for children between the ages of 2 and 12.
