The Trongone Band returns to its native Virginia to perform this season. The group will be performing in the Ashland Theatre, putting on a show for all ages to enjoy.
The band performs a mixture of Southern rock ānā roll and Americana, and has so far produced one album, and toured both in the United States and Europe already. The band adds to its music by integrating some blues and funk, which is part of its goal to make unique music.
The Ashland Theatre is located on England St. Tickets are currently for sale; box seats are $40, the first two rows are $30, and general seating is $20. The seating is first come, first served, as there is no way to reserve specific seats. The theater has snacks and drinks, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, available for purchase. Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the venue. Parking is available in public lots, the closest of which is approximately one block away. There is also street parking available in certain areas.
Events like this often use flyer printing to help advertise, especially as people may not be aware of what to expect from the band. This event is currently scheduled for two weeks on Friday, which is March 1. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the show starts at 7:30 pm.
