Continuing exhibition pays tribute to the horse

‘Portrait of the Horse’ is an exhibition featuring the art work of Marilyn Hageman Borglum who is a visiting artist from Illinois. It is showing at Gallery Flux until the end of November.

An opening reception is planned for next month. Guests will be able to enjoy light refreshments, tour the exhibition, meet the artist, and even make appointments for the artist to draw their own horse or pet.

In addition to the equestrian paintings on display, the artist is showing several of her urban works of art. All of the pieces in the exhibition are available to be purchased. The horse-related handmade jewelry of Louise Ellis and sculptures of David Camden are also for sale.

To make sure as many people in Ashland know about the event as possible, organizers may have approached local Print companies to ask them to provide Flyers for advertising. These can then be sent out through mail, inserted in local newspapers, or handed out on street corners.

‘Portrait of the Horse’ will be on display at Gallery Flux until November 29. Admission is free. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and on Saturday from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. The opening reception will take place on November 6 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
