Comedy event open to Ashland residents

Next month, the ROFL Comedy Series Top Comic Semi Finals event is set to take place close to Ashland.

Pearl Street will be presenting this event as a contest that features 20 competitors from areas including Fredericksburg, Virginia Beach, DC, Roanoke, and Richmond. Each act will last eight minutes, during which each competitor performs his or her best set in preparation for the June finals.

Anyone from Ashland who wishes to attend can purchase tickets in advance for $12 per person. All guests must be at least 18 years of age. Food and beverages will be available for all attendees, and early guests will have the opportunity to order Happy Hour specials. When promoting similar events, the organizers of contests frequently utilize poster printing in order to hang full-color printouts throughout different locations where they are visible to passers-by.

To vote for their favorite comics, attendees will have the opportunity to submit one vote each on Pearl Street Comedy’s website. The winner of the competition will be awarded a $1,000 Grand Prize.

All guests must avoid crowding together and wear masks whenever not seated at their tables.

The ROFL Comedy Series Top Comic Semi Finals event is scheduled to be hosted at Atlas 42 in Glen Allen from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Friday, May 14. The Happy Hour prior to the show will take place between 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
