The Children’s Entrepreneur Market will participate in the Pumpkin Picking Weekend at the Hanover Vegetable Farm in Ashland.
People interested in supporting aspiring entrepreneurs can browse a collection of businesses operated by children and teens during the Pumpkin Picking Weekend. There will be several tables with kids running their own businesses without the assistance of a parent. The adults supervising the entrepreneurs are not allowed to engage with customers, handle payments at the booths, or help the participants fulfill orders. Customers can find hand-made goods and food at the stalls.
Children interested in participating in the marketplace must bring their own supplies to the event. The entrepreneurs are required to get tables and chairs, though canopies and umbrellas are not mandatory. The Hanover Vegetable Farm cannot supply power to the booths, and the children cannot pick their spots at the festival. Those participating in the marketplace for the first time must pay $25, and returning entrepreneurs can pay $20 to reserve their spaces.
The Children’s Entrepreneur Market will be open on Saturday, October 19th from noon to 3:00 pm and Sunday, October 20th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Kids can check in to the event an hour before the marketplace opens. Participants must be between 5 and 17. Business owners at festivals like this may use banner printing to promote their brands to shoppers.
