Ashland to open seasonal community market

An open-air holiday market will be held in Historic Downtown Ashland in December.

The Ashland Christmas Market is an event where people can browse several vendors throughout Historic Downtown Ashland. Many local businesses will offer sales during the market and have sidewalk displays. The participating shops for this year's market include the Center of the Yarniverse, Tiny Tim's Trains & Toys, and Thrill of the Hunt. Several restaurants will also be taking part in the market, such as the Ban Thai Noodle Restaurant, Origin Beer Lab, and Sugar Fix Bakery.

The crafters featured in the event are all based in the Richmond metro area. None of the artist booths will be permitted to sell national brands and products. The festival asks for all vendors and shoppers to put on a face mask during the Christmas market regardless of their vaccination status. Those interested in helping with the community festival may become volunteers if they are 14 and older. The tasks for volunteers include handing out event information, giving directions to attendees, and cleaning up the market.

The festive event will take place on Saturday, December 3 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. People do not need to pay an admission fee to look around the holiday market, and registration is not necessary for consumers. Vendors who participate in community programs like this may bring Promotional Products to their booths to engage with passing customers.
