Ashland to offer seminar on sales skills

The National Kitchen + Bath Association (NKBA) will hold a workshop for business owners at Architectural Surfaces in Ashland.

The Art of Selling is a program where people learn about techniques and strategies that will help them improve their sales skills. The guest speaker for the workshop is Alison Mullins, a business development consultant. Several topics will be discussed, such as cold calling, lead management, follow-ups, and closing techniques. The event will also use interactive roleplaying and audience participation to teach its concepts to attendees. All guests will be given a gift for coming to the seminar.

NKBA is a nonprofit trade group that was founded in 1963. The organization was initially known as the American Institute of Kitchen Dealers. The association represents many types of professionals in the kitchen and bath industries, including remodelers, manufacturers, and designers. The NKBA also organizes events like the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. Those who become members of the association receive access to monthly webinars and invites to members-only summits.

The sales skills workshop will be held on Thursday, August 17 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Tickets to the presentation will cost $25 for members of the NKBA and $50 for non-members. Students may attend the seminar for free. Trade groups that host programs like this may use brochure printing to make resources for guests to bring home.
