The Eastern Regional Office of Anton Paar USA in Ashland will be holding a workshop to educate people on using modular compact rheometer (MCR) hardware.
The Rheology Boot Camp is a multiday course that teaches students about utilizing MCR hardware and RheoCompass™ software. The program will also go over the fundamentals of rheology. Attendees will learn about topics such as how to properly care for their MCR, data interpretation, and how to make effective, reproducible measurements. The course uses a mixture of hands-on labs and classroom sessions to teach students.
The boot camp will have several safety regulations in place to keep participants healthy. The guidelines for the event include mandatory social distancing, mask-wearing, and use of hand sanitizer. Students are not allowed to hug or handshake others while taking the course. Those with symptoms of COVID-19 are asked not to attend, and people who have recently tested positive for the disease or have been in contact with another person with the condition should also not take part in the workshop.
The Rheology Boot Camp will be held from February 1 to 4. The price of the course is $925 per person, which includes a book written by Thomas Mezger. The class is most effective for participants who have been using rheometer hardware for at least three months.
