Ashland to hold event for small business owners

The Dominion Energy Innovation Center in Ashland will be offering an informative community program in October to assist local businesses.

Doing Business in Hanover County is an event where small business owners can network with other professionals while learning about helpful resources. Many organizations will be attending the program to educate eventgoers about their services, such as the Downtown Ashland Association and Hanover Chamber of Commerce. Local economic development teams from Ashland and Hanover County will give attendees an overview of registering their businesses and answer any questions people may have about operating a store in the community.

The Dominion Energy Innovation Center (DEIC) is a building that supports early-stage advanced technology companies by offering them a collaborative space and guidance. Programs held by the organization include the Center Street Pitch Competition and DEIC Greentech Network. The center has several facilities, like a podcast room, conference room, and private office. People can join the group for $125 per month.

The program for small businesses will be held on Thursday, October 13 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost for business owners to attend, though guests should register in advance. Registration for the DEIC’s activity will be available until October 13. Organizations that hold informative conventions like this may use flyer printing to generate more awareness for their special events.
