Vermeer All Roads will be offering a climbing lesson for arborists in September at its facility in Ashland.
The Advanced Climbing Techniques & Applications class is a lesson that teaches arborists how to use specialized rope systems while following safe work practices. The course covers topics like risk assessment, securing anchorages, rope installation, and maximizing efficiency. Students will also learn about properly inspecting their equipment and fall protection plans. The instructors will even teach arborists what to do in emergency response situations. Lunch will be provided during the climbing course, and the seminar will occur rain or shine.
Vermeer All Roads formed in 2019 after Vermeer Mid Atlantic and Vermeer Northeast merged to create one dealer. The company supplies businesses in industries like landscaping and forestry with equipment such as directional drills, brush chippers, and vacuum excavators. The organization hosts several events, including the CTPA Summer Meeting Trade Show and the
75th NYS Woodsmen’s Field Days. The business also hosts classes in multiple states, such as Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The advanced climbing workshop will be held on September 12 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The cost is $45 per student. Participants should bring a hard hat, safety glasses, and a lawn chair to the course. Companies offering instructional activities such as this can use banner printing to raise the visibility of their future seminars.
