Ashland theater company to put on show

The Whistle Stop Theatre Company will be performing a special show in November at the Ashland Theatre.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play known as Our Town will be performed by the Whistle Stop Theatre Company throughout November. The show was written by Thornton Wilder and will be directed by Matt Bloch. Michelle Bayliss is in charge of the music direction for the performance. Several local actors will participate in the play, including Axle Burtness, Dean Knight, and Louise Keeton. Theatrical productions like this may use poster printing to inform the community about the show.

The Whistle Stop Theatre Company is a non-profit, family-run group that aims to provide the state with quality entertainment. The theater has won several awards, such as earning a spot on Style Weekly's Best Of series. Louise Keeton, the artistic director of the venue, also received an award from Style Weekly. People can virtually audition to the theater for a chance to partake in future productions.

Our Town will be performed on Wednesday, November 3 and Friday, November 12 at 7:00 pm. The play will also take place on Saturday, November 13 at 3:00 pm. Attendees will be asked to show proof of having the vaccine at the door to the theater and must wear a mask, although these can be temporarily removed when eating.
