The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society will hold a fundraising event in Ashland this February.
The Valentine’s Soirée is an event that helps raise money and awareness for those impacted by chromosome 18 conditions. The evening will include music, dancing, and heavy hors d'oeuvres.
The gala is organized by Jesi Pair, and the co-host for the event is Jamie Jackson. Jackson is a parent whose son was born with the chromosome 18 condition. The Five-O's Tiki Foundation will provide a cash bar at the venue. Guests are asked to dress in cocktail attire.
The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society is an organization that has been providing resources to those with chromosome 18 conditions for over 30 years. More than 4,000 families have joined the group's network in the United States. The society's CEO is Neale Parker, and the organization's program and events director is Jessica Sabourin. The group often hosts activities like golf tournaments, family summits, and running events.
The Valentine’s Soirée will be on Saturday, February 24 at 6:30 pm. Tickets to the event are available for $50. The dance will take place at the Oakdale event venue. Those who want to offer additional support can donate online to help the society pay for research studies.
