Ashland seminar to teach decluttering techniques

The Ashland Branch of the Pamunkey Regional Library will be holding a class in April on removing unnecessary clutter.

Those interested in learning the techniques for becoming more organized can attend a lesson presented by Brenda Mason Parmelee. The course will tell attendees the three necessary steps for creating a clutter-free household. Other topics Parmelee will cover include where to begin when decluttering, how to confidently keep or let go of items, and addressing the overwhelming moments in the process. Library guests are asked to wear a face covering at the presentation.

Brenda Mason Parmelee is the founder of SmallerLivingHugeLife and a downsizing consultant who condensed her five-bedroom house into a converted motor coach. She is also the creator of Downsizing31, which is an online course where Parmelee assists people with decluttering their spaces by sharing her advice and personal techniques. Her program helps students get rid of clutter such as duplicate items, sentimental objects, holiday decorations, piles of paper, and hobby supplies.

The decluttering program will be held on Thursday, April 7 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and is geared towards adults. Registration is mandatory to see the free seminar. People interested in Parmelee’s Downsizing31 program can pay $497 to access the course. Those who offer online classes such as this may use Business Cards to connect with potential customers.
