Annual wildlife meeting to take place in Ashland

The Virginia Chapter of Wildlife Society will be hosting its annual meeting in Ashland this year.

This yearly conference welcomes both student and professional biologists, educational institutes, managers of private and public land, student chapters, consulting organizations, and many other agencies, organizations and professionals who are involved in the management of natural resources. Flyer printing is an effective method used by conference organizers to notify professionals as to the date and location of the event.

Each annual meeting centers on the discussion of a particular topic regarding wildlife management and conservation. Additional but related research papers on Virginia wildlife are encouraged to be shared with other conference participants. A separate session will be included for student biologists. Cash prizes will be awarded to students with the best papers.

Early registration costs $80 for students and $105 for professionals. An award luncheon in addition to other meals are included in the registration costs. Tickets will increase in price by $10 after January 22.

The Virginia Chapter of Wildlife society will reserve a number of specially discounted rooms at the Hampton Inn for conference participants. All reservations must be made prior to 3:00 pm on January 5.

This event is scheduled to take place from Thursday, February 6 to Friday, February 7 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on both days.
