A Salute to Heroes is taking place next month in Hanover County.
At this, the 16th annual awards presentation and appreciation for the Hanover Sheriff’s Office, proceeds will be donated to the Sheriff’s Foundation.
The celebration is hosted by Sheriff David Hines and the Hanover Chamber of Commerce. It recognizes the outstanding efforts of employees and of citizens. Some of the awards to be handed out include the Silver Star for Bravery, the Excellent Service Award, Officer of the Year, Purple Heart, Medal of Valor, Citizen Recognition, and Volunteer of the Year.
The evening will conclude with an appreciation reception to be held at the Hanover Tavern. Those who attend the reception may get an opportunity to meet the winners of the awards and to make connections with their county peers.
Sponsorships are still available for $500 or $1,000. Those interested in becoming sponsors should contact Melissa Miller at 804-442-2094.
It is likely that this event will be highly advertised in Hanover County, including in Ashland. To help spread the word, organizers often invest in brochure or flyer printing services.
A Salute to Heroes is being held at the County Complex in the Administration Board Room on March 23 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. To learn more about this event or about the Sheriff’s Foundation, contact the Hanover Chamber of Commerce at 804-442-2093.
