Dayton finds new home for entrepreneurial incubator

A permanent location has been selected for the Greater West Dayton Incubator. It will be in the Conference project of Wright Dunbar and deepen the long-term commitment of the University of Dayton to entrepreneurs in the area.

The office on the second floor at Broadway and West Third Streets has 4,000 square feet of space which can be used for catering, co-working, and classrooms, among other functions. It will enable the incubator to bring all its programs to one location.

Print shops can help spread the news about such new developments through eye-catching Posters or Flyers for local entrepreneurs.

Juanita-Michelle Darden, director of the incubator, said that this new location shows the commitment of the incubator to the community and that it plans to grow with its entrepreneurs and to create something significant in West Dayton. Darden added that this new space will enable more collaboration and resources to be offered and a stronger sense of community to be built.

Funds from the Small Business Administration and state capital funds in the amount of $1.8 million have been received by the University for the project. An amount of $650,000 from the West Dayton Trust Fund Development Grants has also been provided by the city of Dayton towards the project.

The University signed a lease for 10 years on the space and expects to open the location in early 2026.
