Arizona State University (ASU) has partnered with Sinclair Community College in Dayton to enable students to transfer with an associate degree to a program that offers a bachelor’s degree.
Sinclair Community College said that many of its students taking degrees at ASU are doing so online although there are eight students who are taking classes in person. A spokesman for Sinclair Community College, Scott Marshall, said the college has learned from its University Partnerships Office that, over the last three years, once students earned an associate degree from the college an average of about 20 students per year were completing their bachelor’s degree online with ASU.
Sinclair has partnerships with many other universities that enable its students to earn a bachelor’s degree with a partner institution once they have completed their associate degree. Among the other universities with which Sinclair has partnerships are University of Cincinnati, University of Dayton, and Wright State University.
Marshall said that the transfer of credits from Sinclair to these universities has been made an easier process for students. He added that the top three programs into which students form Sinclair transfer are psychology, administration, and engineering.
Brochure printing is one way that students can learn more about such programs, their requirements, and their benefits.
Sinclair does offer bachelor's degrees but not in these three programs.
