Yonkers welcomes new medical service provider

The beginning of July brought a new medical services provider to the city of Yonkers. Mayor Mike Spano helped the new facility, CityMD, with its grand opening celebration last Wednesday, July 2.

Although the new location is the first in the Yonkers and Westchester area for CityMD, it is the 31st location for the medical provider. It first opened in the New York metropolitan area in 2010.

CityMD will offer full medical services on a walk-in basis, such as minor emergency care, electrocardiogram, X-ray, and intravenous care. The aim is to provide services for almost every medical issue. The employees have a combined 70 years of experience in emergency care. Mayor Spano enthusiastically welcomed the medical provider to the city, issuing a proclamation.

The Yonkers Daily Voice reports that Spano stated:

"It's so important to have these kinds of medical facilities available today in our city, and it's close by where I live, so that's a plus for me."

CityMD could advertise its new location through services like postcard printing. Its Postcards could highlight the focus of the facility, which, according to chief of staff Dr. Frank Illuzzi, is on compassionate care and the patient experience. The goal of CityMD is to give patients the best healthcare possible, according to Dr. Illuzzi.

The new office is located at 2393 Central Park Avenue. It will be open every day of the year and will see adult and pediatric patients.
