Yonkers seeks volunteers for Riverkeeper Sweep 2025

A day of hands-on environmental action will see locals roll up their sleeves and pitch in as they give the city’s downtown waterfront a spring clean.

Dubbed “Riverkeeper Sweep 2025,” the project will be led by members of the Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club. It will be a rain or shine activity.

Those who would like to get involved will meet up on the Yonkers waterfront at a designated spot in the park located outside 20 Water Grant Street. They will be tackling the section of the river’s shoreline, as well as the park and the adjacent walking trail. The organizers advise that everyone may want to bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, bug repellent, and hand sanitizer. Gloves and trash Bags will be supplied to them by the planners. While elementary school-age children are welcome, they will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Keeping a volunteer-driven event running smoothly may be an easier process with support from a printing services company. It can supply signage, registration Forms, waivers, Letterheads, and also branded clothing for the designated staff to wear so they can easily be identified by the attendees.

The 2025 Riverkeeper Sweep will give Mother Nature and the local area some attention this Saturday, May 3. The project will begin at 10:00 am and run until 2:00 pm.
