Yonkers festival to take a trip back in time

A deep dive into the past is the inspiration behind a Yonkers festival taking place at the end of summer.

Phillips Manor Hall provides the chance to take a step back in time, and it will be kicking off fall with its Revolutionary Harvest Festival. It is scheduled for one day only, and there will be lots to entertain all ages.

The activity will take visitors to the venue back to the 18th Century, and there will be costumed reenactors on hand. Demonstrations of crafting techniques from the 1700s have been planned, along with period-style music and dancing. Everyone can see how grain was ground using a stone mill, and a cider press, period-style children's games. and a special exhibit focused on Benedict Arnold will be open for viewing. It will coincide with Yonkers RiverFest, so the public can include both celebrations in their plans.

Planning period-style celebration may include ordering themed decor that helps build the desired atmosphere. A poster printing company can help, and may implement graphic design techniques to prepare custom materials.

Phillips Manor Hall is set to welcome one and all for its Revolutionary Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 13, starting at 12:00 pm. It will conclude at 5:00 pm, and anyone who plans on attending can find more information on the venue’s website.
