Yonkers is set to kick off fall with an activity that takes a step back in time to the days of the American Revolution.
Philipse Manor Hall gives the public an opportunity to be immersed in the area’s past, and its annual Harvest Festival gives all community members a chance to join in the fun. It will include living history, as well as lots of outdoor, hands-on activities, and it will be family friendly
Visitors to the festival will be able to interact with costumed reenactors, including Revolutionary War soldiers from both sides, and there will be photo ops. They can watch artisans engaged in 18th Century-style crafting, and music with period-style dancing has been planned as well. Games will be set up for kids, and everyone can view the cider press and stone mill in operation. A traveling exhibit focused on Benedict Arnold will be on site, and this will be paired with a special espionage activity.
When preparing for an event with a historical flavor, organizers can order a variety of historically themed Promotional Products to sell as fundraising items from a Print professional, choosing from a variety of styles and price points.
Philipse Manor Hall will be offering this chance to take a step back in time on Saturday, September 13. It is located at 29 Warburton Avenue.
