A “make and take” activity will teach people how to prepare one of their favorite dishes, New Haven style.
Yonkers pizza fans will discover how to cook up three different types of pizza, which may be prepared using a gas fired or wood backyard pizza oven. It will be held outdoors, and it is designed to be a good fit for the beginner.
While they sip on glass of wine and enjoy appetizers, attendees will learn how to prepare the dough and toppings before they put them together to create their pizza pie. They will learn the history of the dish.
Plain tomato, tomato and cheese, and clam pie seafood styles of pizza will all be prepared. The session will be interactive, and it will run for three hours.
When they head or home at the end of the class, each student will be able to take some dough as well as recipe cards so they can keep on preparing pizza in their own kitchen. Printed materials for a workshop like this can be prepared by Stationery printers, and they can be laminated so they will be durable and easy to wipe clean during cooking.
