This October, Yonkers beer fans will be raising their steins in an event that has become a tradition in many communities.
While they may have originated in Germany, Oktoberfest celebrations are now popular in many places, and Yonkers’ Cross Country Center has organized one of these events. Those who prefer wine, cocktails or a non-alcoholic beverage will also be able to choose a libation, and the Garden will be open for two days.
The party goers will be able to relax and take in the live music performances that have been planned, and those who would like to do so can show off their best dance moves. There will be games to play, and food, including pretzels and grilled bratwurst, will be available for purchase. It will be open to all ages, and those who would like a really immersive experience are encouraged to wear a dirndl dress or lederhosen. The beer will be supplied by Yonkers Brewing Co. .
Fall festivals often take place outdoors under cover such as a large tent or canopy. Weather resistant signage for use outside can be prepared by a banner printing company, and as many styles may be used over and over, they can still be budget friendly.
This opportunity for fun fall fun will be on offer on October 11th and 12th. Only those age 21 and up will be permitted to purchase alcohol, and wristbands will be supplied to these guests.
