Yonkers kicks off holiday season in style

A Yonkers venue will be lighting up the night this holiday season when it welcomes the public for an event hosted by a special seasonal guest.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be joined by The Grinch in bringing the Cross County Center Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration to the city. It will include the largest illuminated holiday tree in Westchester, which will boast at least 20,000 LED lights.

Along with the 40ft tall tree, guests at the celebration will be treated to a variety of holiday entertainment provided by local musicians and other performers, and an electric train will be offering rides to the kids in the crowd. Costumed characters will be circulating for photo ops, and there will also be selfie spots set up. Food trucks will be on hand and the venue’s holiday skating rink will be open.

Keeping a pop-up event organized and running smoothly may not always be easy, but local Stationery printers may come to the rescue. They can provide everything from Letterheads to vendor contracts, and may be able to accept riders online, in person, or by phone.

The Cross Country Center will be kicking off its Tree Lighting Celebration at 6:30 pm on Friday, November 14. It will be on offer in the venue’s On the Green, and plenty of free parking will be available.
