The Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club will mark 250 years of Hudson Valley history with a guided paddle along the Yonkers waterfront.
The event, titled ‘Revolutionary War Paddle in Yonkers’, is designed as a fun and historic kayaking experience on the Hudson River.
Participants will paddle on the Hudson River while learning about its Revolutionary War significance. All equipment, including single and double sit-on-top kayaks, life jackets, paddles, and on-land instruction, will be provided by the rowing club. Snacks and water will be supplied by the Hudson River Valley Greenway.
Organizers recommend that participants dress appropriately for the conditions, for example, wearing water shoes instead of sneakers, and bringing towels, breathable clothing, sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses for UV protection. Drinking water will be available at the venue.
All staff involved in the event are highly trained and experienced, and many hold first aid and CPR certification.
The event is free of charge. However, all participants must sign an insurance waiver before taking part in the guided paddle on the Hudson River.
Flyer printing is commonly used to support environmental programs and community outreach programs such as this, along with outdoor banner signage, Banners and sponsor boards.
The event will be held on July 11th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with doors opening at 9:00 am. It will take place at 35 Alexander Street, Yonkers. Parking will be free for all attendees.Get a Free Quote for Banners
