Willing hands are being sought for a Yonkers clean-up project.
The Sarah Lawrence Center for the Urban River at Beczak has made plans to give the Hudson River and its tributaries a good spring clean. This will be the 10th year that Riverkeepers have hosted its Riverkeeper Sweep, and this day of environmental stewardship often makes a big impact.
Anyone who would like to get involved is asked to sign up ahead of time, and due to Covid, social distancing and mask-wearing protocols will be observed. Participants should also wear sturdy footwear and clothes they do not mind getting dirty, and a hat, sunscreen and water bottle are also highly recommended. Kids can get involved so long as they are with a parent or guardian, but anyone who is feeling ill has been asked to stay at home.
Hosting an activity like this that encourages the public to show the environment some TLC can be made a lot easier with assistance from a printing services company. It will be able to supply a wide variety of marketing options, helping its customers to choose ones that are a good fit for their individual needs and budget.
The 10th annual Riverkeeper Sweep will be hitting local waterways on May 1. Everyone has been asked to meet up at Hudson Park.
