A handcrafted centerpiece often adds the final touch to a holiday table, and Yonkers residents who would like to learn some new floral design skills will be preparing them during an upcoming class.
A hands-on class that will be held in Mount Vernon will teach registrants how to prepare a festive holiday centerpiece, and they will then be able to use the techniques they have learned to make other projects as well. Tickets are $75 each, and all of the materials will be provided.
During the class, facilitators will help the attendees make their selections from the leaves, berries, faux tree branches and other design elements supplied. At the end of the session, the participants will have a completed project to take home. The activity is scheduled to take place at the Santa’s Village Holiday Attraction, and there will be time at the end of the workshop to browse and take pictures of the displays.
