Yonkers offered crafting opportunity

A handmade piece of holiday decor can provide the final touch to a dining table or other location in a home, and those who register for a Yonkers area workshop will be crafting one for themselves.

The participants in an event coming up in Mount Vernon will be walked through the steps of making a table centerpiece, and as they will be made largely from “faux” items, they will be built to last for many years. They will all be able to take their project home with them at the end of the class, and the fee to register is $75.

The registrants will learn how to use the artificial evergreens, berries, and other materials supplied to them, and the function will run for one hour. It will be interactive, and the participants can ask questions and get to know the other crafters.

Even if they have a holiday theme, the skills taught in seasonal crafting class can be used throughout the year. A flyer printing offers a way to market an occasion without having to break the bank to do so, and can use graphic design to generate a seasonal theme.

This hands-on activity will be offered on dates starting on Wednesday, November 30, and they will all be held in the evening. It will take place at 20 Warren Place.
