The Yonkers Library system of branches have each come to be hubs of their neighborhood, and to help fund these community builders, a special function is on the agenda.
The Riverfront Branch will be the venue for the annual Foundation for the Yonkers Public Library (FYPL) Spring Gala, and the theme for this year will be “Take Flight.” The venue will offer panoramic views of the local skyline and Hudson River, and tickets are available now.
This fundraising evening will open with a cocktail reception with refreshments created by Peter X Kelly. Along with this, the guests will be able to learn about the recently developed long-term strategic plan for the library system set to be released this spring. Live music and both live and silent auctions will be taking place, with several prizes up for bidding.
