An in-person activity for those ages three and up is in the works for Yonkers kids, using puppetry to engage the audience’s imagination.
The Yonkers Public Library will be welcoming Wonderspark Puppets for a show that will bring popular fairy tales and fables to life, and there will be a limited number of seats available. Masks are required to attend the event, and there will be three different times and locations for parents and caregivers to choose from.
The performers will stage a production of The Tortoise and the Hare, as well as the Lion and the Mouse – two stories that have been selected because they demonstrate traits like good sportsmanship, kindness, and forgiveness. As an additional treat, ice cream will be served for as long as supplies last.
Preparing for this sort of function often involves ordering custom-made backdrops and other set components. A printing services company that uses wide format technology will be able to offer a range of options for this, and they can be made from materials that may be used over and over again.
This in-person visit by Wonderspark Puppets will make stops at the library’s Riverfront, Crestwood, and Will branches on Tuesday, August 18, running from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Additional details about their scheduled start times can be found by visiting its online listing.
