Yonkers holiday tour to take step back in time

A Yonkers’ historical attraction will give the public a chance to step back in time when they enjoy a tour that highlights the holiday traditions that were followed by the family that once called it home.

Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site will be hosting candlelit tours that will give the public an opportunity to see what it's like once the sun goes down. It will be all decked out for the celebration, and the visitors will see how decor has evolved over more than two centuries.

The decorations for the experience will be prepared by the Morsemere Garden Club, and all ages are welcome. Many of the traditions featured can trace their roots back to the Netherlands, which is where the first owners of the property originally came from. Tickets start at $5 for adults, and while walk-ins may be accommodated, the organizers recommended that anyone who is interested should register ahead of time.

When preparing for this sort of activity, it is often a good idea for the planners to reach out to a local printing services company. It will be able to prepare themed decor as well as Promotional Products that can be sold as fundraising items to sell during the tours.

Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site will be offering its holiday candlelit tours from December 15 until December 19. They will all begin at 7:00 pm.
