Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers has plans underway for a special evening that will celebrate the food, culture, and crafting traditional to the area.
The garden, which bills itself as “the finest Persian garden in the Western Hemisphere,” will be welcoming guests for an evening celebration, which will open with a cocktail hour. The gala honoree for the occasion will be Martha Stewart, and a special live performance is on the agenda.
After the cocktail reception, the attendees will be invited to take their seats for the Persian-inspired dinner, which will be served in a tent that offers views of sunsets over the river. Tickets are $750 each, and guests must have received their full set of Covid vaccinations to be allowed to attend. The monies raised through ticket sales will be used by the gardens to undertake restoration work and other projects, including repairing the site’s Persian Pool.
A sumptuous affair like this could be made to feel even more lavish by using specially prepared custom decor. This may be sourced from a professional printing services provider, along with programs, table cards, and other items needed.
The ‘Celebrate Mehregan in the Persian Garden’ fundraising evening has been scheduled for Sunday, October 3. Tickets are on sale now, and they may be purchased on their own or in table groups.
