Curling is a winter sport that many may have seen but don’t know much about. A Yonkers area club has invited members of the public to give it a try, and is hosting an open house that introduces others to the activity.
The Ardsley Curling Club has planned to host its fall open house, which it will teach the basics of the sport. The learning will take place both on and off the ice, and the whole family can participate.
One of the club’s experienced instructors will teach the basics of the game, including sweeping, rock delivery and the other skills needed to enjoy the sport. No experience is required, and each of the introductory sessions will last for about one hour. The planners explained that the activity is best suited to those who are at least 12 years of age, and parents will need to sign a waiver from for anyone who is between 12 and 18.
This type of activity can be a great way to try out a sport, and it can be a lot of fun for the whole family. A company that prepares Letterheads and other business Forms can prepare waivers and other printed Forms and materials for such an occasion.
Ardsley Curling Club, which can be found at 100 North Mountain Drive in Dobbs Ferry, will be offering this opportunity on several dates throughout the months of November and December. Those who would like to learn more can consult the activity’s online listing.
