Healthy living can benefit both the brain and body, and a workshop set for a branch of the Yonkers library system will offer tips and helpful advice.
The Alzheimer’s Association will be facilitating a health and wellness event geared towards those age 55 and up. Some seats are still available as of the time of writing. The organizers can be reached at 914-771-9616.
The session will introduce how taking good care of one's physical health can be an important step in preventing the cognitive decline that may occur during the aging process. A variety of healthy habits will be reviewed, and the group will find out how these steps can protect and even improve health. It will cover four areas of healthy aging, and the latest research in the field will be presented.
An information session or workshop often condenses a lot of information into a small amount of time. Attendees may also appreciate receiving handouts, which can be prepared by a brochure printing company.
The Healthy Living for the Brain and Body session is on the way for Wednesday, November 6, with signups available right up until that date as long as seats remain. It will begin at 11:00 am and run for two hours. The branch where it will be held is located at 1500 Central Park Avenue in Yonkers.
