With the Writers Gathering and the Kosher Wine Fair and Free Tasting being hosted nearby, Yonkers residents have at least a couple of interesting events to look forward to in the coming weeks.

For writers, opportunity comes knocking fairly early in the month with the Writers Gathering being hosted August 7 in Elmsford. Although writing is a unique field in that it is typically done independently, spending a bit of time around like-minded peers can be refreshing on a number of levels. Not just because of everything those attending will have in common, but also because of the interesting ideas that can come up while discussing the tricks and tools of the trade.
