Support sought for Yonkers area senior care initiative

A Yonkers area activity will be showing some love to its senior adults, and its organizers explained that the support of the community will help to make its efforts a success.

Kylie’s Kupcakes, APlus Parties and Events and People United as One have joined forces to create a special day for seniors. They will be preparing grab and go style dinners, which will include dessert and all assistance will be appreciated.

While the volunteers package the food, there will be entertainment supplied by DJ Banga, and everyone who is age 55 and up can stop by for a meal. The planners of the function have set a fundraising goal of $3500, and donations of gifts in kind of volunteer time will also be welcome. The organizers of this special event provided a breakdown of how donations will be utilized. It was noted that a portion of the monies will be utilized in purchasing decorations. A banner printing company will be able to supply a function like this with Banners , Signs and other customized decor, which can help to build an even more festive atmosphere.

This chance to put a smile on the faces of Yonkers area seniors is scheduled for November 20th. The activity will be taking place at 210 Alexander Avenue in the Bronx.
