Social media workshop soon to get started

With both a social media workshop and a concert series coming up, Yonkers residents have plenty of choices from a personal and professional standpoint.

Through Main Street U, business owners are getting a real opportunity to learn all about the ins and outs of making social media work for them. As most professionals are well aware, digital Business Cards and social platforms like Facebook and Twitter can be a powerful combination where personal branding is concerned. Starting at 6:00 pm and being hosted not too far away from Yonkers at the Mamaroneck Public Library, the timing and location of this workshop is certainly convenient for those who plan to be at this July 30 meeting.

Although RSVP is required, online registration does appear to be an option for this one. Hosted though the combined efforts of Patch and the Business Council of Westchester, it is clear that the content of this workshop is definitely worth a second look.

Interestingly enough, the event for which printing companies will probably be preparing on a weekly basis is the ‘6th Annual Free Jazz & Blues at Dusk Concert Series, Yonkers Waterfront’. Beginning in the evening with a start time of 6:30 pm, music lovers will have the option of listening to a number of world-class musicians. Taking place every Friday throughout August, there are clear advantages to putting in an appearance at the Concert Series. Free for all to attend as well, this will surely be a fun way for residents to spend an evening.
