Craft brewing company Yonkers Brewing, LLC, might be available at bars throughout the Hudson Valley but, as of yet, it does not sell its beverages in the city of Yonkers. If the company's current fundraising attempt is successful, however, that might all change.
The microbrewery is using Kickstarter, an online fundraising site, to raise $35,000. The goal of the fundraiser is to come up with enough money to open a new brewery location and tasting room.
The fundraiser ends on August 10. If the number of pledges by that point does not reach a minimum of $35,000, the brewery gets nothing. To encourage people to donate, the company is offering prizes based on the amount given. People who donate at least $75 can receive two Pint Glasses, a cheese board, and local cheese, for example. The brewery might consider using a local Print company to get the word out about the remaining days of its fundraiser.
If the campaign succeeds, the company will build its new brewery and tasting room in a building on the waterfront in downtown Yonkers. The space, 92 Main Street, was once a city trolley barn. It was then turned into lofts and storefronts for both living and working. It will need to be converted again to house the brewery and tasting room.
Currently, the company is producing its beers through a contract with a brewing company in Connecticut. It has recently signed contracts with a few other breweries and beer distributors to get its products into more markets.Get a Free Quote for Pint Glasses Get a Free Quote for Print
