Celebration to welcome Yonkers autism families

Autistic kids, as well as their siblings and the rest of the family as well, are invited to head to Mullay Park in the Bronx this June for a day filled with sensory-friendly fun.

Yonkers’ families are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and take a blanket to sit on when they come to the third annual Outdoors for Autism event. There will be lots to see and do, and since they are having so much fun, the kids may not even realize that they are practicing their social skills.

Several organizations have put their support behind this event. Bronx Museum of the Arts, KEEN New York, Extreme Kids and Crew, and the New York Red Bulls Freestyle Crew have all contributed to the day, and their assistance is appreciated.

While this celebration is focused on autism, everyone is welcome to join in and make it a day to remember. A festive banner can help to create an exciting atmosphere of a function like this, and banner printing companies will have lots of ideas to offer for their style and design.

This afternoon of outdoor fun will be offered in Mullaly Park on June 1. Everyone is encouraged to attend, but the organizers have requested that anyone who requires special accommodations or language assistance contact them through the function's online listing by no later than May 15.
