Reptile show to come to Forest Hills
The Reptile Edventure Show will visit the Forest Hills branch of the Queens Public Library in March.
The Reptile Edventure Show With Erik Calender is a kid-friendly performance where children can learn about amphibians and reptiles from around the world. The audience will get to handle creatures such as frogs, turtles, and snakes. The show began in 2006 and has been performed in front of thousands of local students. The instructor is a graduate of Stony Brook University and has more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and veterinarian.
The Reptile Edventure Show also participates in several charitable activities. Calender founded an organization known as Wildlife Kids Club International Inc., which is a non-profit that has supported families in Madagascar by providing them with supplies to rebuild homes, meals, and classes on sustainable living. Other projects organized by the group include the Living Above the Dirt Project and A Quest For Kids.
The educational show will be held on March 24 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. No registration is required for children to see the performance, and the event will be free to attend. The show will also be held at the Elmhurst, Fresh Meadows, and Arverne branches of the library. Organizations that coordinate wildlife experiences such as this may use poster printing for marketing the performances to library visitors.
